Get a Head Start on Fall…
There is no better place in Central New York to get a true taste of fall than at Beaver Lake Nature Center's Golden Harvest Festival this weekend. Since 1977, this fun-filled, old-fashioned family weekend of pie eating & scarecrow making contests, live music & crafts, hayrides & beautiful fall woodland trails has been attracting visitors of all ages. Hit the Target or Catch a Fish…
Another fall favorite is the Honeywell Sportsmen's Days at Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery on September 22 & 23. What started as a celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day has become a great opportunity for sportsmen and especially kids who want to try archery, canoeing, target shooting and more. A variety of exhibits on hunting & fishing will be on display for all to enjoy. Learn more.

Something New at the Zoo…
Now that the summer rush is over and before the school tours start, September is a perfect time to visit the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. Get up close to nearly 1,000 animals including penguins, lions, elephants and our newest additions…snow leopard twins! Learn more.
